TRAINING CONTENT AND TARGET AUDIENCE

 

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Description: 

A five-day, face-to-face course designed for EU trainee judges and trainee prosecutors working within judicial cooperation in human rights.

It aims at developing both legal and linguistics skills of the participants by combining legal information and language exercises in a practical and dynamic way.

Participants are divided in three small groups, two to be developed in English and one to be carried out in French.

Each group is trained for the entire week by a team composed of a linguistic expert and a legal expert acting simultaneously.

The course combines theoretical and practical sessions of the four basic language skills: reading, writing, speaking, listening, within legal terminology.

 

Target audience: 

Trainee judges and prosecutors, or judges and prosecutors in a maximum 3rd year of their career from all EU Member States and having either the B1/B2 in English or French B2 as per Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Application procedure: 

All applications must be submitted through the candidates' national EJTN member institution.

Participation:

Upon invitation by EJTN, participants register via EJTN online  platform to which they receive access.
After the event, reimbursement is processed via EJTN online platform.
