Description:
Environmental protection is a priority for the European Union, taken into consideration in the European Green deal and during the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The French national school for the judiciary (ENM) is committed to training professionals on environmental issues. Issue 25 of our Revue “justice actualité” dealt with environmental criminal justice. In particular, it gave an overview of the various actions undertaken by our school in this field, including our new in-depth course on environmental justice.
“Les cahiers de la justice” also devoted an issue in 2019 to 'The environmental cause'.
The ENM's international department has contributed to various projects in recent years : the AMBITUS project, with the Office central de lutte contre les atteintes à l'environnement et à la santé publique (OCLAESP), and the Evidence for environment (EFE) project, funded by the European Commission. It aimed to help develop judicial networks for international mutual assistance in criminal matters.
As a continuation of these different actions, the Ecole Nationale de la Magistrature is organizing on 25 and 26 April 2022 a challenge bringing together three international, inter-professional and inter-generational teams.
Mixed in teams, Spanish, French and Italian participants will meet during different events, which will serve as a framework for exchanges on their respective constraints and missions, and will deepen the cooperation within the penal chain and the European Union.
