Description:
The seminar objectives are to introduce the complex issues of the Social Law of the European Union. This is a new area of legal theory and practice that has developed steadily as a response to the perpetual deepening of the European economic integration. Building of the internal market, particularly in the context of free movement of persons, required to launch cooperation in the framework of social policy, social security and labor law. Protection of social rights, moreover, thanks to the legally binding force of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU became an important constitutional topic. The course will offer the theoretical foundations and basic overview of developments and issues in the context of European social law and also inside look at the specific tools and practices.

Open to judges and administrative judges.
