Description:
The course intends to provide an update on the key issues of freedom of expression, as set out in Article 21 of the Constitution and, at European level, in Article 10 of the Convention on Human Rights and Article 11 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. The leitmotif of the course will concern the role of the judge in defining the contents and limits of freedom of expression. Particular attention will be paid to freedom of expression in the digital ecosystem and to the use of the internet and the "social networks" as means to convey ideas, opinions and statements. The seminar wil focus on the problems related to the conflict between the protection of freedom of expression and other equivalent rights, such as personality rights̀, the right to protection of personal data and the right to intellectual property.

Participation:
