Description: 

 "The conference is aimed at judges from social courts of all instances.The Pandemic has shed new light on the size of real-world and legal challenges faced by health systems in respect of social policy. Alongside Germany, the other Member States of the European Union, the United Kingdom, the European Union and all the other countries of the world have been facing the mammoth task of managing their societies and health systems through this once-in-a-century crisis by means measure put in place on a political level, and those taken under administrative and social law. The seminar is also intended to discuss and offer perspectives on the current situation – whatever that may be when the seminar takes place.This will be done:• By demonstrating the legal bases and areas of activity on both a national and European level regarding issues which have arisen during the pandemic,• By comparison of the various health systems in operation in the European Union,• By looking at individual stories and reports from various countries regarding the factual and legal circumstances, both before and during the pandemic (Germany, potentially from France/Sweden/Italy, United Kingdom, China),• With a presentation on the legal basis in Europe for the distribution of medical supplies and vaccines.• With a look at significant European Court of Justice decisions on health systemsand then finally with a discussion of the European Commission’s approach for a “European Health Union”.The aim of the conference is to give judges from the social courts an overview of this complex set of issues within the context of the Pandemic and to discuss the questions and developments arising in this area.The conference will also be advertised as part of the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN). It will be also be suited very well to the needs of participants from abroad."

Participation:

Upon invitation by EJTN, participants register via EJTN online  platform to which they receive access.
After the event, reimbursement is processed via EJTN online platform.
