PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Description: 

A five-day, face-to-face course designed for EU trainee judges and prosecutors working within judicial cooperation in civil matters.

It aims at developing both legal and linguistics skills of the participants by combining legal information and language exercises in a practical and dynamic way.

Participants are divided in three small groups to be developed in English.

Each group is trained for the entire week by a team composed of a linguist expert and a legal expert acting simultaneously.

The course combines theoretical and practical sessions of the four basic language skills: reading, writing, speaking, listening, within legal terminology.

 

Target audience: 

Trainee judges and prosecutors, or judges and prosecutors in a maximum 3rd year of the career from all EU Member States and having either the B1 English or B2 in English language as per Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Language regime: 

English

Level:

  • Intermediate B1 in English
  • Upper Intermediate B2 in English
 

Application procedure: 

All applications must be submitted through the candidates' national EJTN member institution.

Participation:

Upon invitation by EJTN, participants register via EJTN online  platform to which they receive access.
After the event, reimbursement is processed via EJTN online platform.
