Description:
This conference organised in cooperation with the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for Procedural Law will:• present most recent hands-on experience with collective redress;• analyse major case law of the CJEU and national Supreme Courts on collective redress;• look at the mismatch of EU law and collective redress;• debate funding issues, namely contingency fees and third party funding;• present the proposed EU Directive on representative action;• provide a platform for debate on topical issues of this key Directive. Key topics include:• recent developments and best practices at national level;• major CJEU and national jurisprudence in national and cross-border cases; • funding and financing of collective actions;• the proposed European instrument on representative actions.

Participation:
